Who We Are.

Friends of SPS is a grassroots citizen advocacy group that supports initiatives to keep Springfield Public Schools strong.

Did you go to a public school? Do your children go to public school, or did they graduate from one? Maybe you work at a public school or a public school is a central part of your local community. No matter what your personal connection to public education is, we all know that strong public schools are essential to creating strong, healthy communities.

We’re volunteers in Springfield, Missouri, who support local bonds and levies that benefit our local public schools. We believe that investing in children is a community responsibility and that great public schools are the foundation of the social and economic health of our area. We all need them to thrive.

Our current campaign is in support of Proposition S on the April 4 ballot.
